Hi friends,
My word for 2020 is REFINE.
I went back and forth among several words. Refine was the first one I thought of, then I thought of Gratitude, and Thrive, and Energy, etc … I also thought of Perfect, not as in being perfect, but about perfecting things, or everything, about doing my best to make everything better. Though I thought this word would be confusing … after that, I went back to Refine. Because Refine is similar to Perfect (the verb), but it sounds less pretentious and more like having to work hard to refine even the smaller of things, which is probably how this year will go.
This year, I’m taking a huge step back from everything and starting over and refining all the things: my mind, my soul, my body, my health, my friendships, my relationship with my family, my writing, my business, my career, my time on social media—ALL THE THINGS.
This year, I want to REFINE myself in all aspects. I want to be the best version of myself.
Here’s to a great year for all of us!
Cheers,
Alex J. Cavanaugh
Refine is a great word. It implies getting better while perfect can never be achieved.
