The lovelies Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk came up with the WHAT’S UP WEDNESDAY meme. Here’s Jaime’s explanation about it: “It’s similar in some respects to the Currently… post, but it’s been whittled down to only four headings to make it quicker and more manageable on a weekly basis. You’re invited to join us if you’re looking for something to blog about, a way to let your blog friends know what’s been going on with you.”
WHAT I’M READING
I read The Trouble With Goodbye by my friend Sarra Cannon. Last night I started The Last Single Girl by Caitie Quinn.
Confession: I enjoy novellas so I’ll probably try to read a bunch of them this year – it’ll be easier to keep up with my goodreads challenge that way lol
WHAT I’M WRITING
I’m still editing Playing Pretend – it’s due back to my editor next Monday!
But I’m still taking notes of Breaking Fences – which I’ll start writing next week – as new ideas and plot points keep coming to me.
WHAT INSPIRES ME RIGHT NOW
I don’t know, really. Life is good and that’s about it right now. Nothing too exciting happening …
WHAT ELSE I’VE BEEN UP TO
My hubs bought the new Xbox One and the whole family has been obsessed with it. It’s so cool. You say “Xbox turn on” and the whole thing – console, TV and home theater – turn on and recognize who is in front of the TV and even says “Hi Juliana” … I also bought Zumba Fitness World Party for the new video game and I’m loving it. I loooooooooove dancing so this is a fun exercise for me. I stop because I get too tired, not because I don’t want to do it anymore LOL
We took the kid to Disney on Ice last Sunday and omg, she loved it and I loved it too!
Tomorrow I have a write-in with Ginger, and then Saturday I have a write-in with all of my girls: Ginger, Cris, Ghenet, Jessica and Katlyn. Can’t wait!
Now tell me, WHAT’S UP WITH YOU?
Don’t forget to stop by Jaime’s blog and check out the linky list of the awesome writers who are participating of this meme!
Cheers,
Alex J. Cavanaugh
I bet the XBox One is awesome!
I need to read more novellas as well, if only to make a dent in my reading list.
Rebecca Barrow
I’m so jealous of your write-ins, they sound like so much fun! I love dancing, too–actually I’m about to go to a dance class in a minute :) maybe I need to invest in a new Xbox so I can Zumba in my house, too :)
Emma Adams
The Xbox One sounds amazing! Good luck with the editing! :)
Jaime Morrow
How great to find a way to exercise that you actually enjoy! I’m still searching for that thing lol. I really need to read more novellas, and for the same reason that you mentioned. I think I shied away from them in the past because I wasn’t sure if they really counted as books for my reading challenge. This year I’m saying they do. ;-)

Good luck finising your edits in time. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Thanks so much for the 2k to 10k reco you gave me in the comments of my blog last week. I read it and loved it (it’s in my “what I’m reading” section this week!) I would love to hear more about what it looks like for you to be in the brainstorming phase on a new project. Love that you know you’re going to be writing starting next week. You sound like a lady with a plan! Good going! Very inspiring.
Jessie Humphries
We are going to Disney on Ice on Friday! So excited.
Carrie-Anne
The Xbox One sounds really groovy. That reminds me, I should get the Wii Fit still at my ex’s parents’ house, considering I bought it.
Good luck with finishing your edits on time!
Miss Cole
Good luck getting everything done for Monday :D

We are waiting on our 360 to die before investing in the Xbox one. We don’t have kinnect either, so I haven’t had the luxury of voice command yet :) I’d like to get a dance fitness game once we upgrade. Those are so fun.
Erin Funk
I plan on reading a whole bunch of novellas this year too, especially seeing as my hubby bought me a bunch for Christmas. Since they’re short, they really are perfect for those busy times when you’re focused more on writing than reading. Have fun at your write-in and best of luck with your edits and plot notes! :)
Kim
I always find write-ins really helpful. I also love novellas! They are such nice, short reads.
Amy
The Xbox ONE sounds really cool. Good luck with edits! Have a great weekend!
Ghenet Myrthil
Can’t wait for our write-in!
I have an older xbox – the 360 – but yours sounds WAY cooler. Mostly we use it to watch Netflix and Hulu, and my husband plays games occasionally, but I’m thinking of getting a Zumba game too! Zumba is so much fun.
Colin
Novellas can be a great way to sneak in a quick read without the full commitment of a novel. I haven’t read many, but those I have read were good. Yeah, it’s a bit of a cheat to count them in your book tally for the year… but who cares! You had to take time out to read them, so they count. :)
Have a great reading/writing week, Juliana!

The XBox One sounds cool! :D
