Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.
Today’s topic is:
Top Ten Series I Haven’t Finished
So. I’m gonna cheat. Again.
I started a list of the series I didn’t finish and it went well over ten. Of course. But I noticed the reason were repeated …
Here’s how I’m gonna do. Point out the reason, then list the series that fits that reason.
1. Didn’t LOVE it enough to keep going (and really, I got to LOVE LOVE LOVE it to keep following a series):
- The Mediator by Meg Cabot
- Darkest Powers by Kelley Armstrong
- Across the Universe by Beth Revis
- Covenant by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Beautiful Demons by Sarra Cannon
- Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
2. Too many books on my kindle already. Dying to finish/read the next one but don’t want to spend more money:
- The Dark Sawn series by Richelle Mead – She’s my idol. I can’t believe I didn’t read all her books yet. But there it is.
- The Inheritance Cicle – the ebook costs $13.99, can you believe that?
- Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
- The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
- TMI by Cassandra Clare *hides under desk*
- Divergent by Veronica Roth
- The Archers of Avalon by Chelsea Fine
- Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward
- Graceling by Kristin Cashore
3. Procrastinated. I have these on my kindle but didn’t get to them yet, and not sure when—if—I will:
- Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking
- Firelight by Sophie Jordan
- House of Night by PC Cast and Kristin Cast
What about you? Which series did you drop and why?

Not grabbing me enough with the first one and too many books on my iPad. Way too many books…

There’s a few here that I haven’t even started and should! The Iron King is on my Autumn TBR. Just getting a few spooky ones out of the way for Halloween and I’m on it! =D
I haven’t finished TMI either. I don’t think I could actually stomach it actually. I want to punch Jace way too much. >_<

I think I’ll be dropping the Paranormalcy series. Just finished the first one and it was okay. Not a huge fan of Evie, the MC.

Love this post. I haven’t read any of the books in your 1st section, and won’t be putting them high up on a TBR list now. I actually read the first two Hunger Games and haven’t read Mockingjay (and I own it!). I got a bit burned out after two, but I will definitely read it before the movie ultimately comes out. Really enjoyed this post.

I tend to read reviews really carefully before picking up a book. I follow a lot of book review blogs and I try to find the reviewers that have similar taste to mine. Because of that, I haven’t read a single book on your “Books that you didn’t love enough to keep going” list. I could pretty much tell I wouldn’t love them so I never bothered.
I will however, now yell at you for not reading the rest of TMI. I would sell my house if I had to get the money for Cassie Clare’s books. haha. Screw putting a roof over my kids heads, I need to find out what’s happening to my favorite band of shadownhunters!!! And Downworlders of course! YOU MUST FINISH THESE BOOKS!! Okay. I’m done being creepy now. No more yelling at the person I don’t know.
I haven’t read any on your procrastinating list either. I started the Trylle trilogy at the bookstore, but the first book didn’t suck me in, so I never bought it.
Haha. I just noticed that, beneath the comments, this will link back to the last post I put on my blog which is, ironically, about Cassandra Clare.

There are a number of series on your list that I also haven’t read past the first book! (Not Cassandra Clare’s TMI, though. That series is brilliant!)
