Hello everyone!
This week flew by and I barely saw it. Seriously. It was insane.
So, here are my goals for the past week and how it was:
- Write: see below.
- FastDraft: write all afternoon from 12:30 to 5pm (from Tue to Fri) and get LOTS of words down. I didn’t write Thursday. There I said it. Of course I felt terrible about it now. I could have written, I was home, I was alone all afternoon, but lots of friends kept calling me on Facebook and Skype and I hadn’t spoken with some for ages and it felt so good! See. I’ve gotta disconnected the internet when I’m supposed to be writing hehe Anyway, I got about 13000 words down this week. Accordingly to the FastDraft challenge, I should have gotten 25000 words down. Yeah, so only half =( I confess I was a bit distracted and was really slow this week. But I did plot the ending in detail too, so next week should be faster ;)
- Read: read my CP’s manuscript and book #36 (goodreads challenge). Read book #36, but didn’t read CP’s manuscript =( At least she sent it just to be read, not to critique it, so I don’t feel TOO bad for not having read it yet …
- Social Media: blog at least once (besides check-in) and hop on Twitter whenever I have a free time. Done.
- Exercise: 3x at least. I went to the gym 4x this week.
Goals for next week:
- Write: see below.
- FastDraft: write every weekday from 12:30 to 5pm and get LOTS of words down.
- Read: book #37 (goodreads challenge) and CP’s manuscript.
- Social media: blog at least once (besides check-in) and hop on Twitter from time to time.
- Exercise: 3x at least.
That’s it for now.
Don’t forget to check the other ROWers!
Have a great week!
Cheers,

Friends are important as well. Years from now, which will you remember more – the long hours of writing or the time with friends? Don’t feel guilty. That’s still a lot written!

Gosh, 13,000 words in one week is still FAB. Don’t beat yourself up about it. And congrats on hitting the gym four times this week. That’s awesome!

Taking one day off a week sounds perfectly ok to me. And you still managed to write A LOT, so I’d say it was a great week for you :) Hope the next one will be just as good. Happy writing!

good word total – why are you savaging yourself – time out with friends and ‘people’ is food for yourself and later on maybe another plot:)

13,000 words is amazing!!!! I know it is not up to the Fastdraft amount you mentioned but like you said next week should be quicker! Don’t beat yourself up my friend, one day is one day and I hope you are able to meet your targets. Writing for that long is amazing! I am in awe!

The hours you spent chatting to friends aren’t wasted, and I think you shouldn’t feel guilty for them. Writing can be so lonley, when you have a chance to communicate, take it.
Besides, you never know that something someone said may lead you to a story idea in the future… Everything is research and idea collecting!

But 13,000 words in one week is still fantastic! Don’t let missing Thursday go with you into next week, and really, it’s important to take time for friends away from writing. I can sometimes forget that step. Heh.
Good luck this coming week! I love seeing how all your crazy writing challenges go!

Julianna, sometimes you just need a break. And reconnected with people is good for you! 13,000 words is {{{awesome}}}.

Friends are important, they feed our souls and lift our spirits in ways that can’t be measured. I’m looking forward to seeing your numbers next week!!

Hey, I like the header. :)
Great job on the goals overall. It seems that even those Fast Drafters who aren’t making all of their words are still making a lot more progress than typical. 13k is nothing to sneeze at! Congrats.
Have a great week!
