Road Trip Wednesday is a “Blog Carnival,” where YA Highway’s contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody’s unique take on the topic.
This week’s topic: What’s the best book you read in November?
I’m going with THE DUFF by Kody Keplinger (I swear it’s not because she is a YA HIGHWAY member!).
This read was really fun and unexpected! Being inside Bianca’s head was a fun ride ;)
I tried picking only one, but I have to mention another:
RULES OF ATTRACTION by Simone Elkeles.
I confess I didn’t pay attention to the order and didn’t read (yet) the first on the series, about Alex Fuentes. This one was about his brother, Carlos Fuentes, and omg I love Carlos!
November was an YA contemporary month.
Tomorrow I’ll publish a post with all the books I’ve read this month.
How about you? Did you read these? What was the best book you read in November?
Cheers,
kate scott
The DUFF is one of my favorites too. Good pick. My favorite this month was probably Lola and the Boy Next Door.

When I recommended LIKE MANDARIN, and gave my October pick-of-the-month to DIVERGENT, I too hoped it didn’t seem like I was just being nice to YA Highway members. These truly were excellent books, and deserving of accolades. A good book is a good book, no matter who wrote it. I’ve said before, I’m not a big fan of Stephen King, but I would recommend ON WRITING to anyone who’s even thought of putting pen to paper (or finger to keyboard).

THE DUFF looks like a fun read, and I’ve been meaning to check it out. Thanks for the recs!
Karen Sandler
I loved THE DUFF. Even though I wrote adult romances for years (with plenty of sex scenes), I’m pretty squeamish about teen love scenes. But THE DUFF handled them really well.

THE DUFF is sitting on the shelf right behind me waiting to be read! Might have to get to it over the holidays :)

I’ve missed reading most of this month with so much else going on, can’t wait to get back into it for December! Congratulations on NaNO!

I love The DUFF!!! And I read Perfect Chemistry too, but not RULES. Must change that!

The DUFF sounds so good! Another for the To Read list.

I loved DUFF also! SHUT OUT was my Oct. pick. It’s great too.

Duff sounds very good! I like the cover! I have to put this book on my To Be Read list. Rules of Attraction sounds very good too! One of my friends has read the book and loves it. I’ve heard good things about these books. Great choices! Thank you for sharing!

Your website is breathtaking!!! Love the characters and their faces, the shimmer is magical! I’m so intrigued to know what books you’re working on! If any are published I’m positive I’ll have my hands on it!

Ooh, you must read PERFECT CHEMISTRY (Alex’s story). It’s my favorite of the trilogy. :)

I always forget to check out YA contemporary, so thanks for the recs!
